Murders in the Low Country: The Carpenter's Family

This is a story of a collapse of a family after the patriarch dies. The family struggles to survive until the only son finally steps in and goes to work to support he and his mother. He isn't the God fearing man his father was and forever resents the fact that he had to go to work instead of staying in school. His lack of respect for the woman he married is passed on to his daughters as well as his lack of emotional connection to life in general.
