To Steal What Is Sacred

An ancient katsina mask sacred to the Puebloan religion is stolen from a museum. An Albuquerque police detective from the Acoma tribe is assigned in this short story mystery to find the person who killed a museum guard in the robbery and took the mask.

This short story was originally in the 2013 anthology titled "Guest Bedroom: Collected Stories." The katsina mask image on the cover is generic, because to represent a specific katsina can be offensive to some Puebloans who still practice their ancient Katsina religion.
