Teaka and Clay settle into their new life together in the Clan of Storm. Teaka loves to impress her mate by cooking wonderful meals. This involves gathering new kinds of spices and herbs. She goes on a search every morning to find new things.
Clay is nervous over Teaka’s morning walks. He feels she shouldn’t be out there on her own. His job is to protect her, but his love for her is so strong that he can’t keep her from doing something she loves to do.
One of Teaka’s morning searches turns into disaster, and Teaka and Clay are separated by a wild river. Once Clay realizes what must have happened, he tries to swim across but fails. Teaka, now stranded on the other side of the river, worries and frets about what to do. Her power of love for Clay keeps her hopes up and she is determined to not give up.
Clay has his mind set on crossing the river no matter what. With the help of his friends they create a raft. After trial and error they improve the raft so it will withstand the wild river’s currents. Crossing the river will be risking all their lives but Clay’s power of love for Teaka commits him to go on.
This is a story about two clan members so in love with each other that nothing will come between them, not even a deadly wild river.
