This is the first of a series of three novellas.
Grant’s an all-American guy, proud of his physique and his strength, and used to getting what he wants.
A chance meeting on vacation leads to marriage to April, seemingly a delicate, submissive young woman.
But Grant soon realizes that April is not what she seemed, as she becomes increasingly ruthless in taking control of their relationship.
And then he has her family to contend with. A domineering mother, an attractive sister who desires him for herself, and a brother, who seems mysteriously, almost obsessively, protective of April.
Against this background, April and Grant are both unfaithful, and anger quickly turns to violence …
