She bit her lip and turned toward the wooden doors of her bedroom. If it was wrong then so be it. She wanted more of that kiss, more of that sweet betrayal that set her nerves on fire. The house was dark but she had it memorized. She went down the cold hallway, her heart beating fast, her hair messy. She ran down the hall to his room; she turned the knob and burst through the door to see him undressing in front of a mirror, his deft hands unbuttoning his shirt with ease.

“Helena?” He stopped and she didn’t want him to. He was lean and muscled; the firelight shone on his bare skin and she felt her breath catch in her throat.

“I want… I want you to kiss me again,” she demanded, her voice small. A blush rose on her face, realizing that what she was asking was so direct, so inappropriate, and so right. She wanted to be sure that the first kiss wasn’t a mistake.
