What Are They Good For?

In a future ravaged by war and a changing climate, a group of scientists struggle to create a weapon to end violence forever: A weapons system with an innate understanding of right and wrong which can never fall into the wrong hands and be used for evil. The new weapons system is incorruptible by human standards and will always make the right decision. Can the scientists make it understand its purpose? If they cannot, and the weapon arrives at its own conclusion, can they accept the consequences of their actions? Will this new weapon ultimately decide what humans are good for?
