Literacy is more important than ever. Believe it or not, the simple things in this eBook will prepare the mind to meet the challenges of an increasingly complex society more and more dependent on rapidly advancing technologies. True literacy affords protection against the growing ineffectiveness of government and the blind avarice of corporate America. More than that, being literate raises self-confidence and self-esteem. The Internet is often touted as being an incredible source of information. It is, if the user has the skills to exploit it. Basic Literacy provides those skills. And they don’t take twelve years. They don’t take one. There’s no content here. Just the tools the mind needs to choose what content it wants to learn. These tools won’t build genius, but genius doesn’t get built without them. People often tell their children “you can be anything you want.” If you mean it than give them the skills to accomplish it.
