“The Master Builder” was titled “Bygmester Solness” in Norwegian language. The play was first published in the month of December in 1892.

It is said to be one of the most important and revealing works ever produced by Henrik Ibsen.

“The Master Builder” first premiered on 19th of January, in 1893, at the Lessing Theatre, Berlin.

After one month, on 20th of February, the play opened at the Trafalgar Theatre in London.
