Trying to escape her simple life and recent failures in Alabama, Susan DeMarcus embarks on a long journey, visiting various parts of the globe. Her adventures come to a halt, however, when she meets and resides with Daniel Freeman in London. Daniel, a freelance writer who dabbles in exposing the city's crime webs, is a unique and difficult man. While Susan attempts to adjust to her new surroundings, she also finds herself adjusting to simply being in the company of Daniel. As her feelings grow, so does the danger that ensues with the nature of Daniel's work.
