World War II and Rag and Bones are in the thick of it, hiding underground in the London sewers while bombs explode above them. Bones doesn’t want to hide any more. He wants to help. Not your typical vampire behaviour, but then, he’s not a typical vampire.

He knows it’s a risk to show his face above ground and not just because of the bombing, but because he looks like a young, fit man who should be on the front line.

Sometimes you have to take risks for what you believe in, because without human blood, surviving as a vampire is a short-term prospect.
