Turn of Camillus

Camillus is eager to win the war at any cost and is willing to deal in forbidden magic to ensure it. Even at the risk of losing the war the council of elders refuses to allow anyone to exercise in the forbidden magic. They note the rage and anger filling Camillus and regretfully suspend the honored wizard from wartime. Outraged by the suspension he decides to aid in the war regardless. His first attempt nearly costs him his life as well as changes it completely. This is a short story prequel to a longer fantasy series to come.
