Polly McCloud is a wife, mother of two, and Librarian in Marin County California. She and her husband have their sights set on building a dream home for their family on an idyllic spot among the coastal redwoods. Then the real world punches a hole in their plans. The bureaucracy of County government gets in the way and mild-mannered Polly decides to take on the system and fight for change. Frustration, then escalation take over before a climactic ending that teaches Polly something about life, society, and focusing on what you love.
