About William

This novel explores questions of trust, survival and identity set in a story of love, betrayal and danger. Alison Eilers divorces her unfaithful husband and tries to make a new start, but she falls in love with William Deane, whose multiple personalities inhabit a complex inner mental landscape and often take control of his actions. The origins of William’s fragmented psyche emerge in traumatic scenes from his early life, but Alison is unaware of William’s problems until the violent Billy gets loose and she is faced with a choice: should she help him go free or leave him to punishment and prison?
