King of the Horseflies is the first book in this horror/sci-fi series of Carver a dark stranger that is possessed by a force to journey North. As he travels through the small California town of Safe, he is hindered by some of the towns inhabitants. Little do they know that the force driving Carver to the North will stop at nothing, and will wreak havoc on anyone who stands in their way.
