The Romantic Collection: Red Rose Volume

Mike writes in his own blank verse style, sometimes unconventional but always with disciplined thought. His poetry derives from his Irish roots and carries his experiences from working abroad and living in the UK in London and different parts of England from the Scottish borders to the Welsh Marches.

Mike’s interest in lyrics derives from influences during his time in the music industry and his favourite artist Bob Dylan. His poems vary in length, some are short and punchy, others tell a story sometimes with a punch-line. All have a conclusion derived from the condensed thought and emotion.
