The Listener’verse is second world/high fantasy universe with a semi-medieval frontier setting. It’s a low-magic universe in which the dead can talk and Listeners—well, they listen. This short story is a snippit from the backstory of a reoccurring character from the series, written as a faux-'DVD extra'.
