A Painful Journey

This is a true story about a woman who is forced to leave her home, north of Kimberley, with five young children at the outbreak of the Boer War in 1899. She undertakes a journey of a 1000 kilometres partly through a war torn country and semi desert area of South Africa to reach the safety of Cape Town.
