Chicano

The journey of a lifetime takes a young boy from his home in Naco, Mexico, up the San Pedro River, through the Arizona desert, all the way to Aspen, Colorado and then back to his hometown. It is also his journey of becoming "Chicano".

It is a tale of action and adventure. It is a tale of two cultures. It is a tale involving folklore and medicinal healers. It is a tale of ecology but not overtly so. It is a tale of dual languages without it being tedious. It may have someone who browses thinking the name Chicano is misrepresented. I assure you, it is not. Read the book.
