The concepts of sin, shame and guilt are difficult to define in traditional Africa. Metaphors are used to define what the term is in many languages in South Sudan. For example, touching a forbidden thing. A wrong is imputed upon a person or a group if a forbidden thing is touched in most ancient communities in South Sudan. A forbidden thing has its own sanctions upon whosoever touches it.
