The Ride

Sirens, traffic, junk mail, spam, Jesus freaks passing out pamphlets and bums hitting you up for change. There's something worse than the minor inconveniences of our "civilized" world. There's the silence of countless empty city streets. There is aftermath, there is survival, there is the haunted longing for days when paying rent was the biggest anxiety of the month. There's a time when a ride through the countryside can be the most perilous journey of all.
