The Red Cord

The Red Cord depicts the life of the Japanese potter, Shino Matsuzaki in early 18th century Japan, as he learns to balance his craft with the passion he feels toward his young assistant, Maiko. The reader is immersed in the beauty and process of ceramic arts and is treated to a building romance between the two main characters who learn ways to indulge his foot fetish.
