Reminiscence: The emotional repair of Enrique Favrille

After being left by his wife for what appears to be the last time, Enrique Favrille fights through his sorrow. He vacillates between suicidal thoughts and memories of erotic encounters with his wife. In the end he acts to save his life rather than throwing it away and meets a woman, a nurse, who rewards him for a kind act. In the end he shows signs of recovery, and leaves the reader to wonder what is next for this passionate man.
