A famous actress who I’m sure you’ll recognize from the quote once said “I just want to be alone” in that famous smoky voice of hers. Apparently when questioned about it she corrected the reporting of it and advised she had actually said “I want to be left alone”. There’s a huge difference. I’ll try to explain this as I go.
