Polaroids For The Devil: Desert Poems

JD Mindieta first experienced the desert on a very long road trip in a 1986 two-tone Dodge Caravan with his parents from Oklahoma to Carlsbad Caverns, New Mexico.
After his mother’s death in 2004, he again took to the road on a journey from Oklahoma…this time to Los Angeles and back.
He left his heart somewhere in the New Mexico scrub. The book was written along the way, and shortly afterward, this transformative journey.
