Jack Waller, trouble by his life as a drug dealer, decides to clean up his act, get out of the business, hoping he can redeem his soul, and gain back the trust of his estranged wife, Meggie, and their son, Josh. He decides to partake in one last deal, knowing he will walk away with enough money to set up a legitimate business and be free of entanglements with the law. Pulled over for speeding on a rainy night in Horry County, South Carolina, his life is about to change in ways he never saw coming. Now Jack is facing jail time for drug trafficking if he does not agree to a plea bargain sting targeting his former drug boss and long-time friend. Furthermore, the prosecuting attorney, Antonio Delpercio, whose only son died of a drug overdose a few years earlier, has a personal vendetta against Jack Waller which leaves little doubt that he will be doing forty years in a maximum-security prison.
