Christ's Kingdom Commission

How should the Church respond to an increasingly antagonistic
government? What should be our biblical responsibility? What has been the
response of the Church historically to the opposition and hostility from
government? Following Jesus and His disciples, our answer and hope must
rest in the gospel as the power of God for the salvation and transformation
of our nation. The praying and gospel-preaching Church is, and always has
been, the means used by Christ to transform lives, societies, and nations.
The concern of the author and of the editor of this work is to encourage a
return to these biblical means of grace in order to know the same power
experienced in the Early Church, the Great Reformation, and subsequent
national awakenings which transformed peoples, rulers, and nations, and
which provided the resultant peace and freedoms enjoyed at various points in
history.
