Samantha never liked living in Columbus Cove. The forgotten little Arizona town was too remote and too far removed from what she knew and loved, namely her father. Those two factors alone were the exact criteria her mother was looking for when it came time create a whole new life for her and her daughter. Having no one her age in town made her life practically unbearable. The isolation dissipated once Channing moved to the cove. He strayed into town and found a quiet town worth settling in.
