Tuning In

You ever wonder who is right religion or science? Was the earth created in seven days or did a Darwinian evolution create life? For most people I bet they only wonder about such esoteric questions when they pick up a science magazine at the doctors office. Maybe they see a guy in the street holding a sign, “Repent Now The End Is Coming.” Such reminders are infrequent at best. The masses remain blissfully ignorant as to anything other than the norms. For me I am reminded daily every minute of every day that there is more. The full story of what humans can do and achieve is not fully written. Hello, my name is Michael and I can read peoples’ minds. What can you do?

Something happened to me when I was young. I don’t know what as my mind is blank prior to the age of twelve. Now when I say blank I mean blank, nothing, nada. According to the movies I should now set out on a quest to find out what happened to me. I just don’t care. Too many people are already screwed up because of their parents. I consider myself lucky to start with a clean slate. Besides I have my Grandpa Bob and Aunt Vera who love me.

Now I don’t believe in fate, pre-ordination or destiny. Yet as I think about it, how odd is it that a guy that can read minds is raised by a couple of con artists who taught him every trick in the book. I am going to love my life.
