Yus and Kelly first meet as Malaysian scholarship students – he a college sophomore, she a prep student – in California, USA. Challenged by a friend, Yus pursues Kelly. His interest in her is superficial: he’s always after looks and money. Kelly by the way has a great body. Moreover, as Yus is always in debt, her more generous allowance affords him an avenue to borrow money.

The two remain together until Yus loses his scholarship and is forced to part ways with Kelly. Too late for him, he discovers his feelings for her aren’t skin deep.

Years later, they reconnect in Kuala Lumpur. Yus’s love for Kelly remains strong and so he attempts to ruin her marriage to win her back.
