Aiden's grandfather disappeared into the Yucatan jungles twenty years ago and has not been heard from since. That is, until a Martian rover falls into an alien edifice and a cryptic three and a half billion year-old message from Aiden's grandfather is discovered. Former Army Ranger, Dr. Aiden Gunn and a team are quickly assembled and sent to Mars to uncover the secrets of the alien edifice and of his grandfather's message. But others have learned of the discovery and are determined to secure the alien structure for themselves at all costs. With a world on the brink of nuclear war, Aiden and his team must defend the alien complex while attempting to unravel the secrets it holds.
