I am a Rapid Cycler in the Bi-Polar world. This means that sometimes I can cycle from an extreme high to an extreme low quickly. Most Rapids cycle four times within a year. At times I have cycled, four times within a 24 hour period. I recommend a person;
1) Recognize you have it - Admitting you are Bipolar
2) Come to terms with it - Embrace your Bi-polar
3) Admit you need medications (even when you feel good) - Admitting you need medication
4) Diet - How eating habits can help and hinder Bi-polar
5) Acquire the proper amount of sleep - 8 to 10 hours of regular and consistent sleep
6) Exercise to keep weight off - The impact exercise has on you physically and psychologically
7) Channel highs and lows - Try to maintain moods by saving energy .
8) Learn all you can from organizations like N.A.M.I.
9) Build a support team - Family & Friends
10) Search for a compatible doctor - Trust & Friendship
