Invisible Runner On Third

In this short story, Fall has arrived in the quiet hamlet of Copper Valley and all the kids are back in school.For most of the boys, recess is the biggest event of the school day, and the cooler temperatures have the boys tossing the old pigskin around. All except Blake Williams, Archie Schmidt and Jenkins Witherspoon, who are intent in keeping their baseball dreams alive. Unfortunately, the on-the-field antics of the three fourth graders catches the eye of the school principal, who has dark plans for the young trio.
