Strange disappearances, odd shoe sightings, and just what is the Government doing in New Mexico?
When you’re using substandard uranium, things are bound to be unpredictable. And the desert town of El Pathetico seems to be the focal point for all things mutant and insecty.
The military has sent in Murdoch to find out what is going on and fix the problem. Murdoch (as usual) plunges headlong into a situation that he knows nothing about and sets about resolving it in his own incompetent way. (Thank goodness, Nature knows better.)

Will Murdoch discover the insects’ weakness? And will we find out why the roaches have a footwear fetish?

This satirical story is written in the tradition of B-Grade stories, complete with all the stereotypes, creativity and effects – flaws and all.
