Borderlands

Aislan Wright, a young woman dealing with the sudden loss of her mother, is thrust into a world of vampires, who have situated themselves in every aspect of human society. As she undergoes her evolution, she meets Yashiro Tanaka, the cold, ruthless leader of the Sal'awas, a group of elite assassins and soldiers under the rule of Prince Nicholas Martin. Both Yasahiro and Nicholas fall for Aislan and she is finds herself having to choose between them. Her life is also in peril from others who want to take the power that is being thrust upon her in her new role in the Sanguine-sapien world.
