Emma's Dilemma

Seventeen-year-old Emma can't wait for her date with Tim, but her Quarter Horse mare, Shamrock, is due to deliver a foal any time now. Their date turns out to be a group date at the local drive-in, and Emma isn't happy that Tim has invited all his friends to tail-gate during the movie. When Emma gets a call that Shamrock has gone into labor, Tim is reluctant to leave his friends and take Emma home. Back at the stables, Emma hasn't ever delivered a foal and her father isn't home to help her. Tim and Emma deliver the foal with a little coaching over the phone by Shamrock's vet. Then Tim's friends call and Tim chooses to stay with Emma rather than go back to the movie. Emma is relieved and as momma horse cleans her new baby, Tim and Emma slip outside to say goodnight.
