Into the Blue Somewhere

Twelve-year-old Victory sees himself as an average kid just trying to fly under the radar in his competitive 6th grade class. He daydreams about a carefree life in The Blue Somewhere, an imaginary land that hovers in the highest reaches of the atmosphere, where adventure abounds, yet all challenges are tailored to his modest athletic skills and limited social talents. One day, eerie things begin to happen. First, he steps into two scary visions, where he's running with soldiers on a tropical beach in wartime. Later, his cat sees a ghost in the kitchen, and a tragic accident befalls a new friend. Then he gets smacked in the head at school, and stands up to find that everything familiar to him has vanished. Will my soul live on after I die? Are angels real? Is God truly out there somewhere paying attention to me? And his most immediate and practical problems: Who's this guy here bossing me around?
