It's a mix of romance, lust and murder. For some reason one of the two often leads to the other. Callie's fresh out of the police academy, and she's got a job at the North Office, thanks to her Uncle Jerry George, who's the town commissioner. But the North Office isn't happy to have her there. When a homicide comes up they know how to get rid of her, send her to investigate it. Detective Nick Pinnis has been on the Waspiconi P.D for twenty-two years. He's been divorced a long time, and hasn't had much luck of finding anyone. When he gets out to the crime scene he meets Callie. She's nice, a breath of fresh air compared to the women he's been with, and after having her transferred to his department he begins to teach her about investigating homicide, mainly the murder of Grace Kelley, a high school girl that's been found strangled. But Grace isn't just any high school girl, she's pregnant and married, a beautiful girl whose the envy of a hot blonde named Janelle, But Janelle doesn't have a car that matches the one seen at the crime scene, and the owner of the car that does match doesn't like red-heads.
