Why Did the Vampire Cross the Road (and Other Jokes That Could Result in Death)

Alexandre Leblanc is a 250 year old Frenchman who is inexplicably immortal. More than anything else he would like to join his beloved and die on their anniversary. Madame Lucja, Gypsy extraordinaire, advises that he will get his wish if he can make a vampire laugh—and she knows just the vampire to introduce him to! Unfortunately, the vampire is taciturn and frowns at his jokes. Worse yet, she believes Alexandre is there to take her on a date.
