“Care to join us?” Ilyana said, inviting him into her bed. The servant girl and Ilyana were on their sides facing each other. Ilyana had propped up her head on her hand, elbow bent. The girl was lying directly on the bed, her arms wrapped around Ilyana’s body, savoring her milk.

“Of course,” George said, striding across the room eagerly.

Ilyana stopped him with a word. “Wait. Take off your clothes first.”

George paused long enough to shed his tunic, boots, and breeches. Naked he then joined the two warm bodies in Ilyana’s bed. He pushed the girl aside and took his place at his queen’s side.
George paused long enough to ask, “What’s her name?”

“Does it matter?” Ilyana responded. George shrugged. “Fine. Then you can call her Honoria.” Ilyana reached out and stroked the silent girl’s cheek with her fingertips. “She’s not really beautiful, but she’s easy enough on the eyes.”

“Why were you giving her my milk?” George asked as he switched from one breast to the other.
