The earl laughed but King Roland looked intrigued. “Do tell. How does a knight, and Queen Ilyana’s champion, survive without eating?”

George glanced at his lover and she answered for him. “He survives—and thrives—on milk,” she explained.

King Roland snorted, a most un-kingly sound. “Really?” he asked doubtfully. “How many cows exist just to serve him?”

“Just one,” answered Ilyana primly. “Me.”

The two other women gasped at the audacious answer but the king and earl guffawed. “He sups upon you?” the earl asked incredulously.

Queen Ilyana smiled, put down her fork, and gently tugged on the edges of her neckline forcing her breasts into view. All four stared at her brazen audacity. “I’ve been lactating for years. It creates a special bond between me and my champion.” She reached out and touched George’s hand. The group continued to stare at her chest and her decorated breasts. “He thrives on my milk.”

“I see,” said Lenore. “That is wonderful. But I would appreciate it if you would cover yourself.”
