I once read that before Charles Darwin left the Galapagos Islands, he collected a bunch of tortoises so he could eat them. Darwin gathering them up just seemed kind of evil so I grew up with the image of him marching them onto a ship to be used for snacks on the ride home. This is the story of one man's quest for culinary ecstasy and those that stood against him...or something like that.
