Meredith Abbott moved to LA on a whim and she got more than just an adventure. She got Antonio DeLeon, the world-famous, rich and sexy actor who’s also a drunk, womanizer, and world-class liar. She should have known he could never be faithful. She should have known what everyone else in Hollywood already knew—that it would never last. She should have listened to the advice of her friend, Linda: “Never date actors; they lie for a living.”
Timothy Treymour, a young British actor, is starring in the film adaptation of Meredith’s best-selling novel. Among Meredith’s adventures is attending the Academy Awards and meeting the movie stars she has always adored, working for one of the top casting agents in Hollywood, living with her wacky friend, the director, Linda Donadio, and learning to deal with the paparazzi. It’s a tough town and after a couple of years of being the wife of its biggest star and bastard, she’s just the person to steer Timothy through it as he makes his first venture into American film.
Timothy is interested in more than her professional advice and her movie. One look into her violet eyes and he’s a goner but Meredith doesn’t date actors, not any more. The persistent Brit needs to convince Meredith that he’s not really an actor. He just wants to earn enough money to finance his real passion, the restoration of his family manor house in England. Meredith has a dilemma. He says he loves her. Or is he acting?
