Real Ease

Batyah was born at the peak of the Civil Rights Movement. Her childhood experiences (less than ordinary), have given her a unique perspective on life.

Growing up, as a way to cope with the pain of her troubled life, Batyah turned to writing. The result is in this collection of deeply personal and poignant poems and essays.

Originally published as "Batyah's RealEase" in paperback in 2004, this revised "E-dition" includes poems written while the author worked with detainees in the criminal justice system.
