The Hand: A Millennial Imagining

Why have so many believers—mainstream and fanatical—awaited the Millennium? The End of the World even some have tried to cause through a dream, usually religious, certainly mythical, fulfilling prophecy as they read it in sacred text. Luke Jennings left the Order of Strict Observance, called “The Brooders,” for like hens they sat each day in depthless meditation both protecting the truth about the Millennium and sustaining the lie that deluded others into believing that such would never come, that the world was without end. Amen. Yet, once on his journey to find his Beloved so would Luke discover that the one egg of truth that The Brooders did not want to hatch was the return, not of Christ or a higher ascended being but, of Her, She in the body of the women he met and with whom he “bodywandered” to tap into this fearsome Millennial truth. Behind the present world is “The Hand.” Of course, What Is, Is Not. But more awakening is, What Is Not, Is. Such insight transforms Luke and his Beloved.
