Just a mile from Jimmie Edward’s house was an old desecrated graveyard that always gave Jimmie nightmares because of the stories his grandfather told him when he would spend the night at their house.
One night when Jimmie was spending the night at his grandparent’s house his grandfather told him he was going to make the graveyard story more vivid, but would try to reassure him that it was all make believe. Jimmie went along with his grandfather's plan, but was unaware that his grandparents were Witches.
Jimmie's grandfather said, "Jimmie, it's getting late, after you finish eating your dessert we'll go upstairs and get you ready for bed. Jimmie was a little frightened, but knew the stories his grandfather told him were not real. Jimmie finished his dessert and followed his grandfather upstairs to the guest bedroom. While they were walking up the stairs Jimmie said to his grandfather, "Why do you wear a black robe, and only have candles burning all through the house when you have light like my parents have at their house?"
"Well, Jimmie money is tight, and we need every penny me, and your grandmother can hold onto."
"Grandfather, when I get old enough to make money I'll give it to you," said Jimmie.
Jimmie put on his pajamas and climbed into bed not as scared as he was earlier. Jimmie's grandfather sat on the side of the bed ready to tell his spooky story to his grandson.
Jimmie's grandfather said, "Jimmie, I want you to close your eyes and visualize a dark windy night strolling through the graveyard."
Jimmy closed his eyes and his grandfather said some incantations from the Book of the Dead to make Jimmie feel as though he was really walking through the graveyard.
Jimmie's grandfather asked Jimmie, "What do you see?"
"I see five figures dressed in black with hoods, but I can't see their faces," said Jimmie in a frightened voice.
"It's alright my son, It's only a dream." reassured his grandfather.
"But, grandfather it seems so real," exclaimed Jimmie.
"Just keep walking they won't hurt you," replied his grandfather.
Jimmie kept walking through the fog that was up to his ankles with the five hooded figures walking by his side. Jimmie turned his head towards the hooded figures in hopes that they weren't some kind of cult that would bring harm to him by way of placing his body on an altar to be sacrificed to the devil. Jimmie couldn't have been more right. Sure enough the more steps he took through the graveyard the closer his fate was about to be sealed.
