Bleak House by Charles dickens was first published in 1852 – 53 as a monthly installment serial. It is considered to be one of Dickens' finest works. It is the story of Esther Summerson, who is raised as an orphan because the identity of her parents is unknown. The novel contains a complex array of characters and subplots.
