Winnifred Sim never auditioned for a job. And yet, she became a nationally recognized organist, accompanist, adjudicator, teacher, conductor and the musical director of CBC Television’s hit show, “Hymn Sing,” which was broadcast weekly for 30 years.

She persevered through the challenges of being successful in fields dominated by men, at a time when being a working mother of four was not a popular choice. Now approaching the age of 84, Winnifred is able to look back on the joys and struggles of the industry and the enrichment that comes from family, faith and a love of music.
