Kathy may not be the true Equinox Maiden, which jeopardizes her werewolf lover Damon's position as Alpha of his pack. They believe seeking solace within a compound of mountain werewolves will keep them safe, until Kathy is told the only way she'll be accepted is to bear Damon's child.
WARNING: This story contains mature language and explicit sexuality, including werewolf sex, breeding themes, and dubcon material. Intended for readers 18 years and older, only.
Excerpt:
“We’ll take it one day at a time. We can tackle this tomorrow,” Damon said gently.
I rubbed my eyes. “Fine. I’m exhausted, anyway. Let’s sleep on it.”
“Not yet.”
I picked my face up out of my hands. Damon leaned against the wall, regarding me through heavy eyelids. He hitched himself upright and gestured for my hand.
A flare of irritation tore through me. I was suddenly cranky. “Are we going to mate now?” I asked.
Damon didn’t even flinch. “They’ll be watching us.” He pulled me to my feet and folded me into his chest. His body heat pressed through the cotton of his shirt, warming me. “While you’re here, somebody will always be watching.”
He meant it as a warning, but I felt comforted by his words. Somebody is always watching. Like a sentry. Like a body guard.
I lifted my face to Damon’s and closed my eyes. My mouth sought his. He flipped a switch on the wall just as our lips met, plunging the room into darkness.
“Take me to the bed,” I murmured. Let’s give these werewolves what they want.
