It began when humankind couldn't prevent the Earth from destroying itself.--the result of the world's leaders blatant mismanagement and stupidity. The world didn't need leaders anymore; it needed scientists. Or, a scientist. One who created an evolving artificial intelligence called Makr to save it and what was left of its population.
After storing ninety percent of the surviving population inside the world of its dreams, Makr had to deal with the other ten percent that chose to live, or hide really, in what was left of the nearly destroyed planet. They chose reality rather than lose control of what they were before.
Per Makr's program: the Earth's remaining indigent humans must be controlled or destroyed.
