This book has been written by John M Fitzgerald, who also authored several books on Aspergers in children. Because of the growing number of reported cases and the over saturation of false and misleading information on the subject SMA is a leading killer in children and infants and there is still no known cure. This book has been written at a first year med student level so as to offer enough detailed information for those in the medical profession while being able to be easily read by a person not in the medical field.
